After years of working as an fashion designer/buyer I took my first class at a pottery school in Gouda in 2008. After 4 years of study I started to make my own ceramic art in my studio.
I live part of the year in Hilversum and part of the year at the little island Schiermonnikoog. The long walks with my big dog gives me a strong connection with nature.
The coast, the woods, the beach and even the small hotels on the island, they all are my inspiration. And thats the start off creating unique handmade pieces of tableware under the name: Island Ceramic.
Every piece is unique and never the same. Just like the nature surrounding me, always unique and never the same.
